Wayfarer Camp Update

Wayfarer has been in the process of merging with 3DM, a ministry focused on helping churches refocus their discipleship efforts. The reality of this merge began to take place at the end of this past summer and has resulted in the Wayfarer team moving their offices from Spartanburg, SC to Pawleys Island, SC. The announcement was made at camp last summer that they would be adding a beach camp to their 2012 schedule. This originally was met with hesitation and concern on our end because of locations, meals and a higher cost so we decided to register for the camp at Converse College.

We received an email about a week ago letting us know that in the process of these two ministries merging together, their summer camp dates had changed and the week we are signed up for has now turned into a beach camp and the camp at Converse College has moved to the end of June. They have also taken care of a lot of loose ends we were initially concerned about. They've moved to a diferent resort that has conference space so we will worship at the same location that we are staying. Meals are now going to be taken care of and because we were already signed up for that week, they will allow us to do the beach camp at no additional cost. 

Therefore, we've made the decision to go to Wayfarer Camp at the beach June 11-15. Camp will be held at the Crown Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. Because of this change, we are also re-opening our registration for camp through the end of November and our camp credits will still count for any new registrations.

-Any 6th grade student who signs up for camp will receive a $50 credit

-Students who have been to Wayfarer camp in the past will receive a $50 credit if they invite someone who has never been. The new student will receive a $100 credit.
